BATTERY RECYCLING

Bay Batteries takes all necessary steps to ensure that batteries are disposed of properly to protect individuals and the
environment. Bay Batteries is NOT a recycling center, however, we want to provide education and information on HOW to
recycle your battery. If you have specific questions, please contact us.


Alkaline Batteries:
Only alkaline batteries can be disposed of in the garbage. All other batteries should be recycled or disposed of properly.

Nickel Cadmium Batteries:
Cadmium is toxic to the environment and MUST be recycled. RBRC, Inc. can provide appropriate instructions for
recycling this battery.

Sealed Lead Acid Batteries:
Sealed Lead Acid batteries are typically used for UPS backup systems and certain medical devices. By contacting your
local recycling center you should be able to receive instructions on how to recycle these batteries within your community.

Nickel Metal Hydride Batteries:
Nickel Metal Hydride batteries should be disposed of properly. To be safe, contact your local recycling center for details
on appropriate disposal and recycling.

NOTE: You may consider keeping your dead battery packs. There may be a point when it is no longer in production and
can only be rebuilt using the old casing.
